Sidewalk Catwalk

The unveiling of the “Sidewalk Catwalk” takes place today at 11am along Broadway between 35th and 42nd streets. 32 designers including Jason Wu, Betsey Johnson, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Nicole Miller will display their designs on mannequins for the public art event. The exhibit will run through Labor Day and is expected to be the Next ish in tourist attractions this summer. Get there fast fashionistas!

In Fernando Sánchez-Cabezudo’s workshop, actors, directors, and playwrights will tap into their own source of creativity through a series of games and improvisational exercises derived from clowning techniques. The three hour session will demonstrate that when it comes to the Art of the Clown, it is necessary for actors to balance inspiration with technique in order to fully communicate emotions that will make an audience laugh and cry.
